Stay and Wander: Buntzen Lake & White Pine Beach

0

This past weekend, a group of us went on an epic first hike of the season up the Diez Vistas trail at Buntzen Lake. The hike is 15km long and according to the Vancouver Trails website, it’s supposed to take 6-7 hours. Well pshhhh… we did it in 4 hours PLUS breaks. No big.

When we got back, we had a cute little picnic by the lake, napped on the grass and kicked the soccer ball around. Summer feels in April? Oh, yes.

In my eyes, we’re beginning to enter summer which means longer days and extra daylight! After tonight’s sushi date, Nimi and I took  advantage of this and went on a little stroll around White Pine Beach with my pup, Snoopy. The rain had just passed so the forest was filled with a fresh dewy scent.  I feel so incredibly lucky that this is just a short 10 minute drive from where I live. If you’re ever in need of some head space, this is where you need to go.

There are so many spots within metro Vancouver that I never thought to explore until now. So this is just the beginning of what I anticipate to be a fantastic summer filled with many outdoor excursions and adventures with the best company.

You don’t need to go far for adventure. Stay and wander.
